Botox Injections Can Fade the Appearance of Dynamic Wrinkles
With each squint, frown, and everything in between, your face is pulling, scrunching, and crinkling the skin every which way. These repeated muscle contractions eventually etch lines and wrinkles into the skin’s surface. These are known as dynamic wrinkles and include crow’s feet and frown lines between the brows. What Can BOTOX® Treat?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is approved for use on three areas of the face: the forehead, the area around the eyes, and the area near the mouth. This means that BOTOX® can be used to treat crow’s feet, forehead lines and wrinkles, smile lines, and other facial wrinkles that increase in severity as you get older. Although BOTOX® does have a numbing effect, most natural movement is retained; in the hands of a professional, the results will look subtle, natural, and smooth. In the past, many patients were wary of a “frozen” look from over-injecting BOTOX®. Today, experienced and knowledgeable injectors have a greater understanding of how much product to inject and where, so the results are natural-looking.

What Is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a medicine that is injected into facial muscles to stop the repetitive movements that cause wrinkles. BOTOX® is most often used on muscles in the forehead, near the eyes, and around the mouth. Once injected, BOTOX® numbs the muscles for several months, reducing contractions and letting the overlaying skin repair and relax.
BOTOX® treatments take effect quickly. You’ll see early results within two days after you receive your injection, and you’ll see the full results about a month later. BOTOX results last for around four months on severe lines. Once the BOTOX® wears off, most lines and wrinkles will reappear unless further treatment is applied.
How Do Botox Injections Work?
Over the course of time, repeated muscle contractions and facial movements can cause the formation of wrinkles and fine lines between the eyebrows. This can cause individuals to look constantly tired or worn out and can even make them look older than they really are.
Dysport® and Botox® are non-surgical treatments that will soften and smooth moderate to severe lines between the eyebrows and on the forehead as well as crow’s feet around the eyes. We can also tighten the loose and crepey skin on the eyelids, cheeks, and neck utilizing our innovative Instatox™ method and can create an amazing jawline with our Skin Boutique favorite – the Nefertiti Neck Lift. Downturned or gummy smiles, bunny lines, brow lifts, pebbly chins, vertical lip lines, and bruxism /teeth grinding can also be addressed with Dysport® and BOTOX®. It can also be combined with dermal fillers for the ultimate in skin rejuvenation.
Botox was FDA-approved for anti-aging purposes in 2002. Toxic if given in its pure form or larger amounts, Botox used in cosmetic applications is much safer.
